Our wonderful mother, Helen Smith, died on 3 June this year at Aberlea Mortlake.  Helen was a resident at Aberlea for about two and a half years and her family are so thankful that these remaining years for her were such a happy time.  She loved the company she encountered there and it was a great comfort to us to know that she was comfortable and well cared for while never having a chance to be lonely with friendly faces popping in each day to check up on her and to say hello.  Thank you all for your care and kindness to a loved member of our family

Auntie Dawn spent her last 9 years at Aberlea and I can say that she loved those 9 years. She was adored and she entertained staff and visitors calling Aberlea as it is known now her home. The love and care she received from her family at Aberlea. Much love Di xxx

On behalf of my dear Mum, Marie Moody, and her family I want to thank you all so much for your loving care and support you gave her not only on her passing but for the sixteen months Mum lived there.  Sometimes saying thank you does not seem enough, but I hope you all know how much your kindness has meant to us all. On behalf of my father Pat and my family I would like to express our thanks and gratitude for the wonderful care you provided to my mum, Dawn Glennen. You provided us with a bed at Abbeyfield when we needed it most, from the first conversation and meetings with yourself we felt "right at home" and knew that mum was in the best place possible. Thanks to everyone that works at Abbeyfield, you all do an amazing job and we are so lucky to have such a great facility in our area.

My brothers, Phillip & Craig Smith and I would like to thank the wonderful staff at Abbeyfield House Mortlake for their love and kindness, respect and dignity shown to our mum Mary Carter (pictured) while she was in residence there. Mum said that the time she spent at Abbeyfield was amongst the happiest she had spent. She loved it. Thanks also for the love and kindness shown to me during Mum’s final days. I couldn’t have gotten through it without you all. 10 out of 10.
