Dear Aberlea Community,
I am writing to further update you on our current COVID-19 outbreak at Aberlea.
We have had 17 residents recover from COVID and are all out of isolation.
All staff have returned to work and there have been no further staff positive cases.
Unfortunately, on Saturday 14th January we had one resident test positive and is now isolating until the 21st January. Barwon Health have advised that if there are no further cases it is possible to be out of lockdown on the 21st January.
We request that until further notice there is to be a limit of one visitor per resident per day, however we will happily facilitate TEAMs/ZOOM from families to the residents.
You are able to continue to take your loved one out, however you are required to show a negative RAT prior to taking them out. We would like to remind you also that RATs will need to be conducted onsite and not brought from home for the moment, and all visitors will be required to wear the provided N95 masks and eye protection.
Thank you all for your assistance with the above and we will keep you informed with any changes to the situation.
Kind Regards
Leonie Kelly
Director of Care and Operations
