We wish to advise residents, visitors and volunteers that at any time, we may have auditors from the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency on site for either announced or unannounced audits.
These teams will be assessing the quality of care we provide to our residents under 44 standards.
If you wish, our residents, family or representatives may meet with the auditors about the care provided at Abbeyfield House Mortlake.
The team speak to management, staff and visitors, they will examine records and observe physical surroundings and what happens during a normal day.
If you wish to speak to an auditor, please let our staff know on the day.
The Quality Agency Auditors will not be able to provide personal feedback to you, but your comments are taken into account in the way the accreditation audit is carried out.
After each visit, the assessment team will prepare a report and the Quality Agency will make a decision about accreditation for Abbeyfield House Mortlake.
