COVID-19 update | 6 April 2022

Wednesday, April 6, 2022

Dear Aberlea Community,

I write to you all to provide a further update regarding our exposure to COVID-19 on Sunday.

Yesterday all residents received PCR tests and unfortunately one further resident has today tested positive.

In consultation with Barwon Health’s public health unit we have enacted the following steps;
• Visitation has been temporarily paused and will move online
• All non-essential staff are now working offsite
• All care staff are now working in full PPE

Staff and essential visitors will continue to be tested daily.

We would like to reassure residents, families, and staff that we continue to follow our COVID safety plan and would like to thank you all for your patience, assistance, and diligence.

Finally, I will be hosting a stakeholder video conference on Friday at 10.00am to discuss the evolving situation directly with you all, details to this Microsoft teams meeting will be forwarded on request.

If the meantime if you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me or Leonie at any time.

Kind regards,
David Knight
Chief Executive Officer 0455772578
