Dear Aberlea community,
I am writing to you all to provide an update regarding COVID-19.
Unfortunately, a resident at Aberlea has today tested positive for Covid-19.
However, we like the broader community have been preparing for such an event, and that resident has been placed into isolation. We have immediately enacted our COVID management plan which can be viewed on our website.
We are concurrently dealing with several staff who again, like the rest of the community, have tested positive or are COVID -19 close contacts. We anticipate that as the spread in our community increases, this staff issue may require us to request external assistance in the coming weeks.
During this time, we are being supported by the Barwon Southwest Regional COVID Response Unit.
Visitation for our residents will continue to remain in place. We remind everyone that visitation is by prior arrangement. Please ring Deb on 0475 055 394 to book your visits. We would like to reassure residents, families, and staff and thank you all for your patience, assistance, and diligence.
