Dear Aberlea community,
I am writing to provide you all with an update on the rapidly evolving situation here at Aberlea. Based on yesterday’s Covid-19 positive resident, we completed a round of PCR tests for all residents. Unfortunately, we have had a significant number of residents return positive results today.
As a result, and under advice from the public response unit we have acted immediately and have within reason, asked residents to remain in their individual rooms as much as is practical. All residents are fully vaccinated and showing minor symptoms (if any) at this stage.
All affected residents’ families have been contacted and are being provided with daily updates. Whilst we are dealing with the outbreak, I would ask you all to reconsider your need to visit our facility and if possible, switch to virtual methods. We remind everyone that visitation is by prior arrangement. Please ring Deb on 0475 055394 to book your visits.
